Founded in 2022, MCRHT is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to developing and stewarding permanent year-round workforce housing in Knox County and neighboring towns. We envision vibrant communities of economically diverse residents who want to live, work, and retire in the region.
I spent over two and a half years looking for a rental I could afford. I stayed with friends during my search, but what if I didn’t have that? I would have ended up homeless or used every dime I had to pay for housing.
My son and his wife wanted to live in Rockland, and even with two incomes, they couldn't find housing they could afford, and instead, with help from me, are living several towns away.
